We are a nonprofit agency located in Columbus, Ohio, USA, with vision to maximize childhood cure rates of childhood cancer in China.

CURE Childhood Cancer in China is a 501 C (3) non-profit corporation headquartered in Columbus, Ohio that was incorporated in 2000. We have a vision to maximize the cure rates of Childhood cancer in China. Until early 2006, CURE’s initial Board of Trustees and Senior Consultants consisted mostly of world-recognized medical experts in childhood cancers. All agreed to serve as volunteers. They were selected on the basis that their efforts would be humanitarian in nature without the expectation of personal or organizational aggrandizement The current officers of CURE will continue to serve and meet with the Board.

CURE has functioned for the past several years without salary support. This will change as the current development effort provides support for the essential staff required for its effective operation. CURE now has an Executive Director for the United States efforts, Mr. Joseph G. Fleck, an experienced business specialist with 35+ years experience in the medical field. Dr. Xiao Ping Shen, CURE’s Executive Director in China who has served locally for several years, is now CURE’s Executive Director in China. He is also on the faculty of the SIPO Polytechnical Institute in Shanghai as Dean of the Departments of Health, Science and Nursing. He is also a member of the International Board of Trustees of the Soong Ching Ling Foundation in Shanghai.
